PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic image development less liable to cause image defects and having high density and high masking property. SOLUTION: The toner is a white toner for electrostatic image development including a colorant and a binder resin comprising a crystalline resin and a noncrystalline resin, wherein the content of the crystalline resin in the toner is 5-25 mass% and the content of the colorant in the toner is 15-40 mass%.
