PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus for which not only a temperature around a solid-state imaging device can be highly accurately detected but also the diameter of an insertion part can be easily narrowed. SOLUTION: The endoscope apparatus comprises the insertion part 2 inserted to a subject and an imaging part 23 provided in the insertion part 2. The imaging part 23 comprises the solid-state imaging device 28 for photoelectrically converting reflected light from the subject, a temperature detection means 76 for detecting the temperature around the solid-state imaging device 28, circuit boards 33 and 34 electrically connected to the solid-state imaging device 28, and a high temperature heat generating component 79 of a large heat generation amount among electronic components 75 provided on the circuit boards 33 and 34. The temperature detection means 76 is provided between the solid-state imaging device 28 and the high temperature heat generating component 79 inside the imaging part 23. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
