PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker which prevents a lid body from being opened while cooking rice and the rice from becoming half-cooked. SOLUTION: The lid body 31 and a main body 1 are pivoted by a hinge shaft 41 and the lid body 31 is made freely openable and closable to the main body 1. Also, as a clamp mechanism 53 for holding the lid body 31 in a closed state, a clamp receiver 50 provided on the main body 1 and a clamp 44 pivoted to the lid body 31 and engaged with the surface 50A to be engaged of the camp receiver 50 by a rotating operation around a clamp shaft 45 are provided. For the clamp 44, an engaging part 44C with the clamp receiver 50 is extended to the inner part or outer part of the main body 1, and a biting part 44D in the shape of being turned from the root to the upper part where the surface 50A to be engaged of the clamp receiver 50 is positioned is formed.
