PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of dust removing for dust collection chamber without reducing suction force. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner is equipped with; a dust collection box 11 which has a filter 11a opposing to communication hole 6 on a partition wall 7 detachably arranged in a dust collection chamber 8, a rubber packing 12a which is inserted into a hole provided in the partition wall 7 in a deformable manner in the axial direction, a vibrating plate 15 which is positioned between the partition wall 7 and a filter 11a of the dust collection box 11 and movable in the axial direction of the hole, a power transmission means 12 positioned in an electric blower chamber 10 having a rod body arranged on the axis of the hole, and a controlling means 21 for controlling the drive of the power transmission means 12.
