PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To vary a viewing field (a size of a region of interest) of CT imaging easily. SOLUTION: In an X-ray CT imaging apparatus, a magnification is varied by relatively varying a distance between an X-ray generator and the rotation center and/or a distance between an X-ray detector and the rotation center. The X-ray CT imaging apparatus uses a rotation mechanism for rotating a rotation means on which a subject is placed between the X-ray generator and the X-ray detector, disposed to oppose to the X-ray generator, around a rotation axis and a moving mechanism for moving the rotation axis and/or the subject in a plane perpendicular to the rotation axis. The rotating means is rotated by always using the center of the region of interest of the subject as a rotation center for imaging which is different from the rotation axis of the rotation mechanism by the combined movement by rotations of the rotation means interlocked with movements of the rotation axis and/or the subject.
