PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a permeable pit which facilitates installation thereof. SOLUTION: The permeable pit 10 is formed of a box-shaped pit main body 11 embedded in the ground to store rainwater therein, and a cover member 12 covering external surfaces of the pit main body 11. The pit main body 11 consists of a bottom plate 15, side plate members 16, and a top plate 17. The bottom plate 15 and the side plate members 16 has through holes 22 formed therein, for discharging rainwater stored in the pit main body 11 to the ground. The cover member 12 is made of a material having water permeability, and formed of a bottom member 18 and a side plate cover member 19 separately from each other. The bottom member 18 corresponds to the bottom plate 15 of the pit main body 11, and the side plate cover member 19 corresponds to the side plate members 16 of the pit main body 11.
