<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print preparation device enabling a user to accurately set the number of prints when setting the number of prints after extracting face regions. <P>SOLUTION: The print preparation device includes an image input means 1 for inputting image data as a target of photoprint preparation, an extraction condition setting means 5a for setting extraction conditions for extracting the face regions included in the image data, a face region extraction means 5b for extracting the face regions on the basis of the set extraction conditions, a print number setting means for setting the number of prints on the basis of the number of the extracted face regions, an extraction display means 5c for displaying so that the extracted face regions and the unextracted face regions are distinguishable from each other when displaying image data-related images on a monitor screen, and an extraction condition resetting means 5d for resetting the extraction means in the monitor screen.
