<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coding processing unit capable of increasing the coding ratio of data for three-dimensional image display. <P>SOLUTION: The coding processing unit that performs coding processing for reproducing a three-dimensional image comprises a three-dimensional image input part 1 for inputting image data for right and left eyes; an image depth calculator 2 for calculating the degree of a depth from inputted image data for right and left eyes; a three-dimensional image data composite 4 for superposing the inputted image data for right and left eyes in line units alternately for compositing; a coding processor 5 for coding the inputted image data; and a three-dimensional image data selector 4 for selecting whether composite image data are coded as composited by the three-dimensional image data composite 4 based on a result calculated by the image depth calculator 2 or the image data for right and left eyes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
