PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology for allowing an optical pickup to be locked being excellent in impact resistance at the time of non-loading of a disk, in an optical disk device of a slim slot drive type. SOLUTION: The optical disk device is constituted so that a lock member which has a hook part to be engaged with a locked part of an optical pickup, and is rotated and shifted around a supporting point by a member sliding according to an operation of loading an optical disk or releasing loading, is included as a lock mechanism, wherein when the member is not abutted on the lock member, the hook part is rotated and shifted in the direction of engaging with the locked part and the optical pickup is locked, and when the member is abutted, the hook part is rotated and shifted in the direction of releasing engaging with the locked part and lock of the optical pickup is released.
