PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge case capable of being positioned correctly to a recording/reproducing device or the like. SOLUTION: The cartridge case is provided with an upper shell 3 and a lower shell 4 ( lower shell main body 21a and 21b) and is configured to house an information recording medium (optical disk) in a cartridge main body formed by overlapping the both shells 3 and 4. In the upper shell 3, cylindrical projecting parts 14 and 14 with a reference hole 14a formed at the central part are erected on an inner face of a main plate (top plate), and in the lower shell 4 (lower shell man bodies 21a and 21b), insertion holes 24 are opened in a main plate (bottom plate 22) for allowing a positioning pin to be inserted into the reference hole 14a of the cylindrical projecting parts 14.
