PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device, enabling a user to confirm arrival of a new Web mail without the user's voluntary operation. SOLUTION: The portable terminal device 10 receives Web mails from a receiving box 30a of a mail server 30 through a network 100. The terminal device 10 acquires accumulation state data showing the mail accumulation state in the receiving box 30a at two different points of time. Further, the terminal device comprises a difference extraction part 15 comparing the two accumulation state data and generating difference data when the both are different.
