PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio system capable of reducing loss as much as possible by using high radio frequencies such as a microwave and millimeter wave band. SOLUTION: A first control part 106 in a radio receiver 100 determines whether a first IF signal output from a first frequency conversion part 103 is to be input to a first IF processing part 113 or a second IF signal output from a radio transmitter 200 is to be input to the first IF processing part 113 on the basis of the quality of an RF signal, controls a first switch part 114 and requests the radio transmitter 200 to transmit the second IF signal.
