PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present an understandable quantitative evaluation form relating to "wavelike operation" by a driver himself from a digital travel record mounted in an individual vehicle for avoiding such useless "wavelike operation", which is repeated excessive speed changes and regarded as one of the causes of precluding economical operation with reduced fuel consumption per travel distance, increasing the fuel consumption on a high-speed way in particular. SOLUTION: From the record of a travelling vehicle speed recorded on a digital tachometer, an average value Fv=Sv/T((km/h)/min) over a time T about a cumulative value Sv for vehicle speed changes is computed which is set as an evaluation value.
