PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a push-pull lock which allows the end user to arbitrarily select a push-pull mode or a unilateral mode. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the push-pull lock, a first slide body and a second slide body which are movable by a pressing piece are arranged in a lock box, and a block piece 40A is arranged in the lock box in a manner turnable upside down such that its vertical fitting plate portion 81 is located in a longitudinal fitting slot 14A formed in a front plate 7A of the lock box. When the mode is changed, first a front 7b of the front plate 7A is removed from a rear plate 7a, and the block piece 40A is turned upside down and set onto the rear plate 7a of the front plate 7A, followed by fixing the front 7b to the rear plate 7a. In this manner a restriction portion 82 horizontally protruding from a portion that is shifted from the center of the fitting plate portion 81 abuts on a front end of the second slide body 47, and therefore the second slide body is inhibited from moving frontward, to thereby switch the essential push-pull mode of the lock to the unilateral mode.
