PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damaging even if there is interlayer displacement by self-sustaining and supporting a glass pane of a large dimension erected as an exterior wall and having the height exceeding 6 m in a lower frame via a setting block. SOLUTION: This glass pane support structure self-sustains and supports a plate glass pane via the setting block on the lower side of the plate glass pane erected as the exterior wall. The four-corner parts of the adjacent rectangular plate glass panes are coated with a synthetic rubber or resin substantially triangular cap having resiliency, and a hard resin L-shaped member is also adhered to an outer peripheral surface of the respective caps. The mutual respectively coated L-shaped members of the juxtaposed plate glass panes are allowed to abut back to back, and an interval of a joint part between the plate glass panes is held.
