PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a girdle for solving narrowness when inserting the legs to wear and sliding up on the hip, giving sufficient tightening force on the belly to the waist when wearing, and bringing less feeling of pressure to the waist during use. SOLUTION: This short girdle G<SB>DL</SB>is obtained by stitching a side back part 2 to both the upper sides of an almost hexagonal front part 1, each using a highly stretchable body fabric, stitching both the lower sides of the front part 1 in a shrinkage state to a bottom part 4, and stitching the back part of the bottom part 4 to the hip lower part of the side back part 2, and forming two back pads 1<SB>L</SB>' and 1<SB>R</SB>' on the back of the front part 1 so that the lower sides of the pads each cross at the front center and are opened without stitching, and other sides are stitched to each other. The upper half part of the front part 1 comprises three superimposed highly stretchable fabrics and gives high tightening effect to the belly, and the lower half part becomes one fabric toward the lower side and is formed to open narrowness when wearing.
