PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen production system where, when fuel gas is produced from dimethyl ether as original fuel, the effective utilization of exhaust heat energy is attained, and a fuel gases is produced in large quantities. SOLUTION: In the hydrogen production system, a hydrogen refining system comprising: reformers 9, 28, 32, 35 of steam-reforming dimethyl ether as original fuel so as to produce hydrogen concentration-enriched reformed fuel gas; water evaporators 10, 29, 33, 36 of feeding water vapor to the reformers 9, 28, 32, 35; shift reactors 19, 22 of modifying unreacted carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide during the production of the reformed fuel gas in the reformers 9, 28, 32, 35; and means 20, 23 of separating the carbon dioxide modified by the shift reactors 19, 22 is divided into a first hydrogen refining system 2 and a second hydrogen refining system 3, and further, a gas turbine plant 1 of feeding exhaust gas as a heat source to each of the divided first hydrogen refining system 2 and the second hydrogen refining system 3 is provided to the hydrogen production system.
