PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for supplying ink, in which such a complicated system is not required that the liquid level of a tank for receiving/storing ink is measured, and a solid is prevented from being sent to the side of an ink applying means from the tank, which has a simple constitution and from which ink can be supplied excellently. SOLUTION: The apparatus for supplying ink is used for supplying ink 3 of an ink supply source 5 to the ink applying means 9 composed of a header 8 to which many ink-jet heads 7 are connected. An ink sending means 12 having a diaphragm pump 13 for making the ink 3 flow to one direction from the ink supply source 5 to the ink applying means 9 is arranged on a pipeline 11 extending from the ink supply source 5 to the ink applying means 9. A driving means for operating the ink sending means 12 on the basis of the information from a pressure sensor 17 for detecting the ink pressure at the ink applying means 9 is arranged in the ink sending means 12 in order to keep the ink pressure so that the ink 3 forms a meniscus surface at a discharge port of each of ink-jet heads 7.
