PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filling device which can be used both for a liquid sent through meshes 28 and 30 and a liquid not sent through the meshes for filling, and which allows efficient cleaning upon changing the kind of liquid. SOLUTION: The filling device is used for filling liquid by opening/closing a filling liquid passage 10 formed in a filling nozzle 2 by a liquid valve 16. The filling device has a seal member 24 abutting on the lower end of the filling nozzle 2, to which an attachment 4 is attached removably, the attachment having a mesh with a number of holes for the liquid to pass therethrough. In carrying out the filling work, the attachment is attached to the nozzle when the liquid is sent through the mesh, and is removed when the liquid is not sent through the mesh. When the filling work with the attachment is changed to the filling work without the attachment, the attachment is removed after the cleaning after an operation for production is finished. When the filling work without the attachment is changed to the filling work with the attachment, the attachment is attached to the nozzle after the production, and then is cleaned.
