发明名称 ALLOY FOR NEGATIVE ELECTRODE OF LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY
摘要 A melt is obtained by melting two or more metal materials including an element, such as Si and Sn, capable of absorbing and desorbing Li element, and another metal material including Cu and the like. The thus-obtained melt is cooled and solidified at a rate of more than 2 × 10<SUP>3</SUP> °C/sec and not more than 10<SUP>4</SUP> °C/sec by strip casting, and then pulverized and classified, thereby obtaining an alloy powder having an average grain size of 0.1-50 µm. A negative electrode for secondary batteries is obtained by arranging this alloy powder and a conductive material on a collector in the form of a layer by using a binder. By using such a negative electrode, there can be obtained a lithium secondary battery having high charge/discharge capacity and excellent cycle characteristics.
