<p>There is provided an elastic wave filter device of band inhibiting type formed by using an elastic wave filter element and having a trap band and passing band. The attenuation amount in the trap band is sufficiently large. A plurality of inductances are connected between an input terminal and an output terminal. A capacitance element is connected between the input terminal or the output terminal and the ground potential. The elastic wave filter device (1) includes a first elastic resonator connected when the capacitance element is not connected between the input terminal or the output terminal and the ground potential and a second elastic resonator connected between the connection points between the adjacent inductances and the ground potential. The resonance frequency of the second elastic resonator is a frequency within the trap band.</p>
