<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method by which a graphite film having excellent thermal conductivity, surface hardness, adhesive properties of the surface and appearance can be obtained, and further, a graphite film having excellent various characteristics can be obtained, as a raw material film, using the thick one with a thickness of about 75 to 225 μm. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the graphite film where a high polymer film is heat-treated at ≥2,000°C comprises a process (1) where a high polymer film is graphitized in a state where metal-containing carbon powder is present at the periphery; wherein, the graphitization is performed by electric heating, a process (2) where the graphitization is performed by electric heating, and a vessel holding the raw material film contains metal, and a process (3) where the graphitization is performed by electric heating, and a metal-containing substance is contacted with the raw material film during the graphitization. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
