<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vapor generation determining device for a fuel injection mechanism, capable of determining in a short time whether vapor is generated or not in the fuel injection mechanism at the start of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: The vapor generation determining device comprises a pump for reforming fuel into higher pressure one, and a delivery pipe for supplying the fuel reformed into higher pressure one by the pump to a fuel injection valve. It detects the pressure of the fuel in the delivery pipe and detects the temperature of the fuel in the delivery pipe (Step S21), calculates the saturated vapor pressure of the fuel at the detected temperature (Step S23), and determines that the vapor is generated when the detected fuel pressure is lower than the calculated saturated vapor pressure (Step 24). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
