<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system which is capable of eliminating drop in the transmission distance by using adaptive modulation, after switching the transmission frequency, even in the case of rainfall or fog. <P>SOLUTION: In a wireless communication system comprising a transmission-side transmission device and a reception-side transmission device, each of the transmission-side transmission device and the reception-side transmission device includes a transmission means of a first frequency band and a second frequency band, the transmitting side transmission device detects the situation of a transmission line, adaptively selects either the first or the second transmission frequency, adaptively varies either or both the transmission frame rate and compressibility, in accordance with the quantity of information that can be wirelessly transmitted in the selected transmission frequency, and further, performs transmission, while adaptively varying a modulation system, according to the varied transmission frame rate or compressibility. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
