<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface light source which can prevent a dark portion from occurring near a light source end. <P>SOLUTION: The surface light source device comprises a light guide body 100 almost in a shape of a plate, and a linear light source 200 which faces one side surface 103 and has non-lighting areas 205, 206 on the both ends. Auxiliary light guide bodies 220, 221 are placed between the light guide body and the linear light source, to be arranged so that at least the parts of the auxiliary light guide bodies 220, 221 are between the non-lighting areas of the linear light source and the light source body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
