PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blast device and an outdoor unit for air conditioner capable of reducing noise generated with accompanying reduction of size of the outdoor unit for the air conditioner, and of improving aerodynamic characteristics. SOLUTION: In the blast device provided with an axial flow impeller 7, a fan motor 8 positioned in a suction side of the axial flow impeller 7 and a motor stay 9 supporting the fan motor 8 and having the motor stay 9 attached in parallel with a rotation surface of the axial flow impeller 7 in a roughly straight shape, a blade leading edge 14 of the axial flow impeller 7 is positioned in a region X in which turbulence of air flow reduces and which is closer to the motor stay 9 than a region Y in which turbulence of air flow increase in a downstream side of the motor stay 9, to inhibit turbulence of air flow in downstream side of the motor stay 9 from influencing aerodynamic characteristics and noise characteristics (in an embodiment, increase of noise) of the axial flow impeller 7.
