<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely perform a control operation appropriate to each of power ON/OFF in power supply control of each extension board of a PCI system comprising extension boards connected to a mother board, while attaining both delay time setting of power ON/OFF control signal appropriate to each extension board and prevention of damage of a circuit element by overcurrent of power soruce. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU of the mother board monitors a status signal 506 showing ON/OFF state of power supply from a power control LSI 201h, 202h of each extension board, confirms whether a control signal for control instruction of power ON/OFF is appropriate or not based on the monitoring result, and directly transmits the control signal to the power control LSI separately from a PCI bus. The power control LSI which receives the control signal performs ON/OFF control of the respective power supply according to a delay time set in an internal nonvolatile memory 501a, and also regularly detects overcurrent of the power current supplied to each board by a detection circuit 502b, and immediately performs power-OFF control upon detection thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
