PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electrophotographic toner that possesses stable electrostatic charging property in an image forming method by electrophotography, in particular, in a single component developing method, that gives an appropriate and uniform toner layer thickness on a developing sleeve, that shows high image density and a long life property (that is, maintaining high image density through continuous printing of a large number of sheets) with a less consumed amount of the toner. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic toner comprises mother toner particles containing at least a binder resin and a magnetic material, and at least inorganic fine particles, conductive metal oxide fine particles and carbon black deposited on the surfaces of the maternal toner particles, wherein the inorganic fine particles are subjected to a surface treatment with at least cyclic silazane and have 100 to 175 m<SP>2</SP>/g specific surface area.
