PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic program information receiver, an electronic program guide generating method, an electronic program guide generating program, a computer-readable recording medium having the electronic program guide generating program stored thereon, and a television receiver for generating an electronic program image with readability. SOLUTION: The television receiver is provided with a CPU 51 for generating an electronic program guide image on the basis of electronic program information, and the CPU 51 includes a program table generating section 512 for generating a program table from the electronic program information; an image drawing processing control section 512 for displaying the electronic program guide image, based on the program table on a display device; and an input signal detection section 511 for recognizing instruction contents of an operation signal output from an operation means, and when the CPU 51 recognizes a fixed signal, the CPU 51 fixes a display position on the electronic program guide image of a program selected by a cursor.
