PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing a crosslinked rubber which has no blooming due to the decomposition products of an organic peroxide while maintaining crosslinking properties such as thermal aging resistance and compression set and excels in properties such as high extensibility. SOLUTION: The process for producing a crosslinked rubber from a rubber composition containing a diene rubber and an organic peroxide comprises using a peroxy ester represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SP>1</SP>is a 1-3C alkyl group and R<SP>2</SP>is a 1-12C alkyl group) as the organic peroxide.
