PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a pyrazole compound represented by formula (a) which is a new compound having excellent activities for controlling harmful arthropod. SOLUTION: The method for producing the pyrazole compound represented by formula (a) comprises subjecting a compound represented by formula (d) to hydrogenation reaction in the presence of a transition metal and an acid to produce a compound represented by formula (b), and reacting the compound represented by formula (b) with a compound represented by formula (c): L-CH<SB>2</SB>CH=C(R<SP>6</SP>)(R<SP>7</SP>).
