PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an electrode for an electrochemical element which is an improved method over the conventional one and can improve the durability and reliability of the electrochemical element by using activated carbon having a large electrostatic capacity.

SOLUTION: In rolling a coated film for attaining a higher density, a binder solvent is purposely caused to remain in such an amount that never crushes the pores in the surface of an active material. After the rolling process, a solvent extraction process is conducted to remove the binder solvent remaining in the pores of the coated film.
