摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of completing a jumping operation within a fixed time during interlayer jumping in an multilayer optical disk, and dynamically and properly correcting a spherical aberration caused in a very small spot converged in the recording layer of the multilayer optical disk. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with: first and second lenses 8 and 9 for converging optical beams on the very small spot of the multilayer optical disk 1; a first lens driving element 10 and a focus driving element 11 for driving the lenses; a servo error driving control part 14 for controlling the focus position of the very small spot; a spherical aberration detection part 15 for outputting a spherical aberration detecting signal; a spherical aberration driving control part 16 for correcting a spherical aberration on the basis of the spherical aberration detecting signal; and a controller part 17 for controlling these components. A correction method is switched to statically correct a spherical aberration on the basis of an existing standard correction amount until focus control becomes normal, and to dynamically correct the spherical aberration on the basis of the spherical aberration detecting signal after the focus control becomes a normal operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
