<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil, in which a barrel with a smart appearance is obtained and the degree of freedom in designing the barrel increases and, in addition, a structure for stably installing a cap from behind without tottering can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: This writing utensil is so constituted as to be able to install a cap 6 dismounted from the pen point 2 side of the barrel 3 to the rear end part of the barrel 3. On the outer surface at the rear end part of the barrel 3, a smoothly inclined surface 51, the outer diameter of which gradually decreases according as the surface locates rearwards, is provided. On the inner surface of the cap 6, a first securing part 61 pressure-weldingly securable to the inclined surface 51 and a second securing part 62, which locates in the rear of the first securing part 61 and is pressure-weldingly securable to the inclined surface 51, are provided. The cap 6 is made of a synthetic resin molded body under the condition that the first securing part 61 and the second securing part 62 are respectively formed en bloc with and on the inner surface of the cap 6. Each of the first securing part 61 and the second securing part 62 consists of an annular stepped part. Under the condition that the cap 6 is installed on the rear end part of the barrel 3, each of the first securing part 61 and the second securing part 62 is linearly and pressure-weldingly secured to the inclined surface 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
