<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct liquid type writing utensil, through the closely related fitting part between an ink cartridge and a connecting tubular part of which there is no fear of leaking ink to outside. <P>SOLUTION: An ink reserving member 6, at the fore end of which a pen point 2 is equipped, is provided at the fore end opening part of a barrel 3. The connecting tubular part 42 is provided within the barrel 3 at the rear of the ink reserving member 6. The connecting tubular part 42 is inserted in the fore end opening part of the ink cartridge 8, in which ink is directly stored. The outer wall of the connecting tubular part 42 and the inner wall of the ink cartridge 8 are closely relatedly fitted to each other. The ink reserving member 6 and the interior of the ink cartridge 8 are made to be communicated with each other. The connecting tubular part 42 is made of a synthetic resin molded body. An annular projection 42a is formed en bloc with the outer wall of the connecting tubular part 42.
