<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution system and method capable of efficiently distributing contents, especially, enabling purchase of the contents in a state where the system is not connected to a network. <P>SOLUTION: The system 10 includes a content distribution server 110 for distributing the contents, a transmission terminal 120 for distributing the contents owned in the content distribution server 110 by proxy, and a reception terminal 130 for receiving the distributed contents from the transmission terminal 120 by radio communication.
