<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening and closing part connecting apparatus that stably retains an opening and closing member in a fixed state, regardless of the force in the horizontal/vertical directions, applied to a unit added to a perpendicular wall surface of an image forming apparatus body. <P>SOLUTION: The opening and closing connecting apparatus opens, closes and connects the image forming apparatus body 1 and a unit 2 added to a side wall of the image forming apparatus with an opening and closing structure provided below by rotation around a shaft. A hook 5 is provided to the image forming apparatus body 1 with a claw 5a, provided on one end in an integrated structure, biting into a pin member 3. Then, with a pin member 4 provided to the unit 2 in the integral structure as an axis, when the distance in the horizontal direction from a contact point of the claw 5a of the hook 5 and the pin member 3 of the image forming apparatus body 1 to a center of the axis of the pin member 4 of the unit 2 is 1<SB>2</SB>and the distance in the vertical direction is 1<SB>3</SB>, the angle θ<SB>2</SB>between the horizontal direction and the claw 5a of the hook 5 is the angle determined by tan<SP>-1</SP>(1<SB>2</SB>/1<SB>3</SB>) or smaller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
