PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To implement a parallel interface by providing reserve terminals while implementing card downsizing by employing serial communication.

SOLUTION: A connection structure for a card body 2 of substantially rectangular plan form comprises a plurality of external connection terminals 5 positioned in parallel in an insertion direction of the card body 2. The external connection terminals 5 include voltage supply terminals Vss positioned at both ends, an internal connection terminal INT positioned substantially in the middle and internally connected to the voltage supply terminals Vss, a digital signal input/output terminal DIO, and the reserve terminals Re. The reserve terminals can be used as signal input or output terminals to establish a parallel interface connection in conjunction with the digital signal transfer terminal.
