<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a low-cost color filter, without the use of a photomask and with a simplified process, in forming a coloring pixel layer of a transflective color filter, and to provide a color filter, and a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the color filter has steps of arranging a coloring resin on a substrate and to form a coloring resin layer; of draw-exposing the coloring resin layer by using a laser beam and to expose it with a predetermined pattern; and to develop the coloring resin layer. The laser beam is controlled with a digital micromirror device, and a pattern, with layer thickness values that are different between a reflective display section and a transmissive display section, is formed by controlling irradiation on the coloring resin layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
