<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printed material developing a hologram effect and fanciness on a printing object made of various base materials such as synthetic resin, metal, coated paper and glass comparable to the effect attainable by the hot-pressing of a hologram foil to the material. <P>SOLUTION: A hologram layer is printed on the surface of a base material and a masking ink layer or an overcoat layer as an overlay printing layer is printed on the hologram layer. The hologram layer is printed with a hologram ink containing a thin foil hologram pigment composed of aluminum flakes having a thickness of <0.1μm and having an embossed diffractive lattice form on the surface, a butyral resin and at least one resin selected from cellulosic resin, vinyl resin and polyester resin.
