PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform appropriate encryption process according to importance of an object data and direction from a user. SOLUTION: When data to be encrypted are input, a setting method of encryption parameter is selected first (S202). If a user sets importance degree when a simple setting is selected, an encryption parameter is automatically set (S203 and S204). If a detail setting is selected, a user sets importance degree and such encryption parameter as provides an encryption level equal to or higher than the lowest level set according to the importance degree (S207 and S208).
