PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance measuring device capable of measuring simultaneously each distance from a starting point to a present position and to a target position, and informing the result by a voice. SOLUTION: A CPU 21 measures position information of the present position, and stores the position information in a memory 22 as the present position based on output from a GPS receiving circuit 5 in response to operation of a switch 3. The CPU 21 calculates the distance from the present position to a position after movement and the distance from the position after movement to a green stored beforehand in the memory 22 and reports each distance by a voice from a loudspeaker 6 in response to a command given from a switch 4 after movement.
