摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measurement accuracy by preventing waves reflected at outer walls from being incident onto ultrasonic oscillators and receiving only normal reception signals. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic oscillators 15a and 15b each housed in oscillator cases 14a and 14b are opposed to each other on the upstream side and the downstream side of a tube 13. An ultrasonic beam from the ultrasonic oscillator 15a reaches the ultrasonic oscillator 15b via reflections at reflecting points A and B of the inner wall of the tube 13. Thick-wall parts 16a and 16b are in the vicinity of the reflecting points A and B of the inner wall in the tube 13. The ultrasonic beam Wa transmitted from the ultrasonic oscillator 15a intersects with a fluid to be reflected at the reflecting point A of the inner wall, intersects with the fluid gain to be reflected at the reflecting point B, intersects with the fluid once again, and is received by the ultrasonic oscillator 15b. An ultrasonic beam Wa' which has passed through the reflecting points A and B of the inner wall and linearly advanced into the thick-wall parts 16a and 16b is not received by the ultrasonic oscillators 15b.
