PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element, upon the formation of almost the same molding faces on both the faces, in which shape transferring can be securely performed from a pair of dies, to provide a method for producing an optical element, and to provide a device for producing an optical element. SOLUTION: A glass material 20 is arranged between a first die 111 whose movement is regulated by a fixed axis 133 and a second die 112 connectedly fixed to a moving axis 134 and advancing/retreating to the first die 111, and, when the first die 111 and the second die 112 are heated by a heating controller 120, the second die 112 is made close to the first die 111, and a molded product in which both the molding faces are almost made the same is press-molded, the viscosity of the part coming into contact with the first die 111 in the glass material 20 is made higher than that of the part coming into contact with the second die 112.
