PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can prevent the fraudulent attempt committed while operating a return button. SOLUTION: The game machine has a game medium path through which game media cast into a game medium casting part provided on the front of the game machine can be guided into the game machine, game medium detection sensors 24 and 25 which can output a detection signal by detecting the passage of the game media moving through the game medium path and an open/close guide plate which is movable to the opening position of making the game medium path open so that the game media cast into the game medium casting part can drop without moving through the game medium path responding to the operation of the return button provided on the front of the game machine. It also includes a return button sensor 27 which can detect the movement of the open/close guide plate to the opening position and a control means which carries out an error processing upon the establishment of prescribed conditions when the return button sensor 27 detects the opening position of the open/close guide plate.
