To fill a cosmetic container, e.g. with eye shadow or lipstick mass materials, a dosing needle with a side jet is inserted into the container to reach the base. As the material is fed into the container, the needle is withdrawn while the container and needle rotate in relation to each other and the delivered material clings to the container wall.
