<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar device capable of enlarging an equivalent aperture even when an array antenna having the small number of elements is used, and coping with beam narrowing. <P>SOLUTION: Two element antennas positioned on opposite ends of arrangement of the array antenna are used as transmitting element antennas, and a plurality of residual element antennas are used as receiving element antennas. Radar transmission waves are transmitted successively from the transmitting element antennas by switching the two transmitting element antennas, and each reflected radio wave is received by the receiving element antennas in the corresponding order, and the received reception signals are synthesized and processed as a synthetic aperture array signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
