PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for processing link travel time statistical data and a data structure of link travel time statistical data for correcting the abnormal link travel time included in the received traffic information by eliminating it while considering the deviation of the link travel time between the adjacent link travel times. SOLUTION: If the link travel time c1 of the link L3 of extraction object at a sampling time is longer than the regular rangeτ3 of the link travel time of the link L3 of extraction object, and the link travel time d1 of the extraction object L4 next to the L3 at the same sampling time is shorter than the rangeτ4 of the regular link travel time of the extracted link L4, the difference between the travel times c1 and d1 is large. Therefore, both the link travel times c1 and d1 are eliminated from the link travel time storage data composed of the link travel times in the traffic information of a lot of links from the VICS (R).
