<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an add/drop filter based on a photonic crystal which can constitute an optical circuit within a two-dimensional plane. <P>SOLUTION: One cavity with a waveguide basically having line defects in a row and terminated to be short is arranged between two waveguides, and the add/drop filter based on the photonic crystal capable of constituting the optical circuit within the two-dimensional plane is constituted by utilizing the abnormal dispersion of the waveguide (W1). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
