A handler for an industrial robot is provided to improve operating ability by enhancing the stroke distance and transfer speed of the handler in cases where Y-axis and Z-axis are formed into a plurality of rows. A handler(1) for an industrial robot comprises a left and right transfer unit(10) operating in an X-axis direction; a base(20) mounted on a table(11) of the horizontal transfer unit; an upward and downward transfer unit(30) mounted on the base, and driven in a Z-axis direction; a forward and rearward transfer unit(40) mounted on a table(31) of the upward and downward transfer unit, and driven in an Y-axis direction; and an installation board(50) mounted on a table(41) of the forward and rearward transfer unit. The forward and rearward transfer unit is arranged so that main frames of a first linear guide having a table coupled with the upward and downward transfer unit and a second linear guide having a table coupled with the installation board are opposed to each other. The upward and downward transfer unit is arranged so that main frames of a first linear guide having a table coupled with the forward and rearward transfer unit and a second linear guide having a table coupled with the first linear guide are fixed at the base.
